Founded by the treaty of Port Louis on 17 October 1993, the Organization for the Harmonization in Africa of Business Law (OHADA) is an international organization whose purpose is to facilitate investments and guarantee the legal security of companies operating in Africa. The OHADA zone spans a vast integrated market that today includes 17 member states.
